our history

Here's How We Got Started

2010

The Beginning

Triumph Power & Gas Systems Limited began its journey in 2010, with a vision to build an indigenous energy services company capable of providing reliable technical solutions to Nigeria’s growing energy and industrial sectors.

2015

Expanding Our Energy Services

TPG continued developing its integrated service model across power generation, rotating equipment, gas systems and industrial applications.

The company’s direction increasingly centred on providing not just equipment, but the technical support required to keep critical assets operational throughout their lifecycle.

2018

Major Expansion in Gas Turbine Services

2018 was a significant year in TPG’s published gas-turbine project history.

The company delivered several assignments involving Chevron’s LM2500+ turbines on the Agbami FPSO, including:

  • On-site modification and repair
  • Borescope inspections
  • Liquid-fuel nozzle repairs
  • FSR inspection support
  • Gas-turbine overhaul activities

TPG also supplied a Centrax KB7, 5.4 MW gas turbine and supervised installation works for Afrique Gas in Agbara, Ogun State.

This period demonstrated TPG’s growing capability in both offshore maintenance and new equipment deployment.

2019

Diversifying Beyond Gas Turbines

Expanding into broader asset-support services

TPG’s project portfolio expanded into additional industrial and offshore services.

Published project records include:

  • Water-injection pump repair and overhaul
  • Cable installation and systems-integrity support
  • Electrical panel replacement
  • Slew-bearing tensioning
  • Continued gas-turbine support

These engagements demonstrate the company’s expanding technical scope beyond gas turbines into broader industrial and offshore asset support.

2020

Supporting Critical Infrastructure

Technical service during a challenging year

TPG continued supporting energy and industrial customers with technical services, including:

  • Supply and installation supervision of containerized PRMS systems
  • Offshore technical support
  • Gas-turbine services
  • Marine and industrial equipment support

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, TPG also contributed ₦1 million toward the development of a 70-bed free COVID-19 emergency treatment and isolation centre with an ICU at the Landmark Exhibition Centre in Lagos. The centre was commissioned in April 2020.

This reflected TPG’s commitment to responsible corporate citizenship during a national emergency.

2022

Technology & OEM Ecosystem Expansion

Deepening global technology relationships

TPG continued developing its network of global technology and OEM relationships across power generation, gas engines, compressors, filtration, marine and rotating equipment.

During this period, Baker Hughes acquired the BRUSH Power Generation business, bringing BRUSH’s generators, synchronous condensers, motors and power-management systems into Baker Hughes’ portfolio.

For TPG, the broader evolution of its technology-partner ecosystem strengthened its ability to provide advanced power-generation and control solutions in Nigeria.

2024

Major Contracts & High-Profile Projects

Supporting some of Nigeria’s most critical energy assets

2024 marked a significant period in TPG’s documented project portfolio, with engagements spanning oil and gas, power generation and manufacturing.

FPSO Gas Turbine Overhaul & Maintenance
Provision of LM2500 gas turbine overhaul and maintenance services under a two-year contract.

OEM Spares & Technical Services Agreements
Three-year agreements covering spare parts and technical services for gas engines, generators, alternators and compressors.

Industrial Generator Inspection & Fault-Finding
Winding inspection and technical fault-finding services for critical industrial power-generation equipment.

Offshore Diesel Engine & Alternator Support
Provision of diesel engine services, alternator spare parts and related technical support for offshore operations.

2026

A New Chapter - Technology. Partnerships. Indigenous Capability.

2026 marks a new chapter for TPG as an indigenous integrated energy services company, combining over 80 years of collective leadership experience with global partnerships, local expertise, and technology-driven solutions.

TPG strengthened its Digital Twin and AI-powered Asset Performance Management capabilities while expanding technical engagements with global partners including Waukesha, ContiTech, Rolls-Royce, and Ingersoll Rand.

The year also saw increased participation in major African energy platforms, including TWF, SAIPEC, NOG, and NOGC, alongside strengthened industry leadership through PETAN.

Operationally, TPG completed the repair, commissioning, and return to service of two Waukesha gas generators in Sapele, Delta State, supporting reliable power and improved production performance.

2026: Advancing technology. Strengthening partnerships. Delivering performance.
